Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Maine Yarn Cruise. We are already looking at the list of shops for next year. Maybe even a different look for the canvas bag ??!? Stay tuned…..
For those who haven’t participated before, the Maine Yarn Cruise is not an actual boat cruise, rather it’s a summer and early fall yarn crawl. As a “cruiser”, you can visit any participating shop to purchase a passport with a custom MYC bag, complete with goodies from our wonderful sponsors and shops. Then start your cruise and visit as many shops as you can between July 1st, and October 13th (Indigenous Peoples’ Day).
Each shop offers monthly prizes and a grand prize drawing. And if you visit all the shops, you can enter the drawing to win our End-of-the-Road Grand Prize—a $400 gift card and second place is a $200 gift card to the MYC shop of your choice. Throughout the summer, you can expect special events, local festivals, knit-a-longs, crochet-a-longs, prizes, and other fun.
Updates for 2025
Last year, we introduced the digital passport and more than twice the number of people finished the entire route than in 2023!!! There will be some small updates to help with functionality and usability. Paper passports will still be available, but in a very limited quantity. The website will be updated over the next month, so check back often to get the latest updates.
